Empties continued… Unfortunately I had less luck with these, but there are some favorites.
Ojon Full Detox Dry Shampoo
Let me start with a declaration: Ojon’s lauded dry shampoo was a huge let down. It smells weird but I could live with it if not for the fact that it does nothing. I think my hair actually looked worse after spraying it on and it was sticky and strange feeling. I like to touch my hair during the day so anything that makes it feel bad, is a big no-no for me. I kept trying and hoping its just a fluke but before I emptied it out it also got jammed really bad so I couldn’t use up the whole bottle. Perhaps that’s a blessing… Now that I’m thinking about it it was also gone real quick.
Radical Skincare Peptide Infused Antioxidant Serum
This serum was a small tester that arrived with one of my Sephora boxes as a reward. Well, I’m not sure how much reward it was because I didn’t notice any skin care benefits and I used it for at least two months regularly. The texture was weird and it smelled kind of bad too. Unfortunately that’s a big deterrent for me: a product doesn’t have to smell but if it does it should smell nice. Well, between the ingredients you can find green tea and green coffee so no wonder it has an unappealing color (light brown) too. I’m definitely not impressed.
Bioderma H2O Makeup Remover
Again another lauded skin care product landing on the wrong side of the fence with me. It’s okay…, it works, kinda, but not especially well for removing heavier make-up residue. I definitely wouldn’t use it by itself, more like after something heavy-duty, like a Cetaphil cleanser to take off anything that’s left and neutralize the harsher effects of the real cleanser. In my case the last lag of the bottle was solely used for my eyes. To be truthful my skin is not especially picky so this gentle product for sensitive skin is wasted on me.
Sephora Collection Waterproof Eyemakeup Remover
Another sample, but this one worked surprisingly well. Since I like wearing pencil and ink eyeliner with a waterproof mascara I do need an extra step in my evening routine just for eyes, generally my first step of taking my make-up off. Is it as good as the Clinique? Nah, it’s really not too moisturizing but if you are looking for a budget version (close to $8 cheaper than the Clinique on Sephora’s website) that works and you own a good eye creme, I don’t see why you wouldn’t purchase it.
Origins GinZing Energy-boosting Moisturizer
You’ve seen me gushing over this moisturizer before at this post, about Sephora Webshopping. No wonder, it’s a goody, I’m already on my second jar. I especially recommend it for a light summer moisturization when anything too thick feels stifling on your skin. No need for more words, just look up my previous review!
Maybelline Colossal Volume Waterproof Mascara
This is a good mascara, waterproof, long-lasting, it-just-does-not-want-to dry-out product. Since it’s from the drugstore you can find it everywhere and it is cheap. After 8 hours expect some fall-down, but it is natural to have some with this price range. It’s all over a good performer. Will I repurchase? Not anytime soon for sure. There are so many great mascaras out there that are waiting for discovery…
Repurchase: Maybe one day.
See you soon!
